Job purpose

The Director of Seating is the seating product champion who promotes, oversees, trains and supports sales efforts for all Global seating across the US. This person serves as a critical knowledge leader within Product Management; accountable for growing sales for Global's seating product category for existing and newly launched products.

This is a remote position.

PRIMARY GOALS:

1) To improve Global's seating market share by developing and implementing an approved business plan.

2) Ensure proper product positioning (internally and externally) through product training, presentations, sales tools, opportunity response and competitive awareness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategies to position Global's product offering to achieve company and individual growth goals, meet customer expectations and outperform the competition.

* Recommend and implement course adjustments throughout the year based on tracking and analysis of seating product line sales.

* Manage marketing, sales presentation activities and resources to ensure the appropriate seating products are accurately positioned based upon customer criteria requirements.

* Work closely across multiple departments on marketing, developing and maintained training, sales tools, documentation, and presentations.

* Identify market trends, analyze the impact, and propose products or marketing adjustments to capitalize on opportunities across all seating programs.

* Market Global's brand, message, and programs.

* Assist VP Seating and Marketing with new product launch campaign materials for the greatest marketplace impact.

* Ongoing travel and training to develop new and deepened seating knowledge within Global and across dealer sales and design.

* Identify core competitors and be the expert on their seating products, market position and distribution methods; monitor Global seating performance against core competitors.

* Identify product gaps, recommend new products and new markets.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, similar Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

* Six to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience or military equivalent.

* A positive, outgoing personality with honed interpersonal and communication skills that drive cooperative teamwork, high engagement, and promote workplace culture.

* Understanding of the furniture customer, dealer and commercial sales process.

* Demonstrated success developing and presenting information, ideas, and procedures in a logical sequence to achieve results.

* Successful experience achieving results in cross-functional teams while working remotely.

* Seating sales or product management experience preferred. Healthcare furniture industry knowledge a plus.

* Demonstrated high proficiency in use of PowerPoint and Excel with general ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software and tools currently used in Global Furniture Group.

* Record of ongoing professional development.

* Ability and willingness to travel up to 3 weeks per month (75%) as needed to achieve business objectives.

* Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The target base salary range for this remote position is $95,000 to $140,000 annually.
