Role Responsibilities Processing quality cast iron parts used to create Hearth & Home Technologies' industry-leading fireplaces, stoves and hearth products. Minimizing bad parts by proper cleaning, identification, inspection, and repair of cosmetic flaws. Job Requirements Read and perform basic math functions to determine mold specifications, production counts, work-in-process, and product specifications Follow written and pictorial standard work instructions Communicate clearly and effectively with others Complete quality and safety checks Advanced skills include Operation of a variety of material handling equipment such as Bobcat, Forklift, Yard Truck, Sweeper Operation of overhead cranes and hoists to move material such as molten metal, slag and refractory containers, furnace components and other equipment weighing from 2 to 10 tons Hearth & Home Technologies believes in the power of Lean Manufacturing. Our production environments emphasize flow and continuous improvement efforts. Our Foundry Technicians work within a team-driven environment to assemble quality products and improve our efficiency. You can also advance your skills by learning the various rotations of the melt and mold process, including set up and operation of DISA equipment, furnaces, and ladle crane.
