We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist toassist with all facets of the AR accounting department, including the setup, processing, and management of AR accounts. Works closely with the Marketing group to ensure that the customer issues are handled quickly and professionally. Supports our team atmosphere by backing up others in the AR department. Assists with special projects as needed.

You'll report to the Accounting Manager in our Kalispell corporate office, focusing on these key responsibilities:

• Process new customer credit applications and EFT authorizations
• Perform EFT verifications for customer accounts
• Post manual cash, wire, and check payments to customer AR accounts.
• Create the daily bank deposit and balance to the AR journal.
• Post and balance the credit card payments for the previous day's charges.
• Manually run credit cards for auto-pays and budget billing depending on due dates.
• Routinely do clean up on Account Receivable accounts as needed.
• Assist with customer calls and e-mails concerning misapplied or missing payments, etc.
• Process Tank Wagon Invoicing for Fuel & Propane as needed
• Backup other AR Clerk(s) as needed
• Backup the Credit Specialist as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Four years of accounting experience
• Experience in reconciliation and tracking of accounts
• Knowledge of the petroleum industry and petroleum accounting strongly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication with customers and other employees
• Very detailed with strong problem-solving skills
• Tact, diplomacy in dealing with staff and outside organizations and people
• Interest in continuous improvement of the accounting process
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to produce results within tight time constraints
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent ten-key and data entry skills
• Basic accounting skills
• Accounting software experience
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet business need
