Enbridge has an opening for a Reliability Engineer III. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of rotating equipment associated with compressor and LNG facilities. This role involves conducting technical evaluations, providing expert guidance, and developing customized solutions to enhance the operational performance of rotating equipment and systems. This position will be in Gastonia, North Carolina. What You Will Do:
- Deploy Enbridge best practices to ensure rotating equipment reliability and maintenance strategy for rotating equipment, e.g. Compression, Pumps, and Engines.
- Perform detailed assessments of rotating equipment including compressors, engines, and pumps and associated systems to optimize their performance. This includes development of asset inspection and maintenance strategies in the design phase as well as optimization of strategies of assets in the operations phase of their lifecycle.
- Support establishment of asset register along with associated BOM, isometrics, engineering drawings, certifications, and manuals
- Conduct asset criticality assessment along with the Engineer Risk and assess the asset classification to support risk informed maintenance strategy.
- Developing and monitoring relevant metrics to support asset reliability.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and reliability issues
- Create development plans outlining technical solutions, projected savings, and implementation timelines.
- Contribute to the improvement of reliability processes and support their implementation.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 14224: Petroleum, Petrochemical, and Natural Gas Industries - Collection and Exchange of Reliability and Maintenance Data for
- Equipment and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) - SAE JA1012
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the compression industry is required.
- Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) assessments is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the state is required.
- Strong understanding of compressor components, operations, and maintenance.
- Understanding of and experience with compressor performance monitoring is an asset.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering technical content and presentations. Frequent and effective communication with operating teams is critical.
- Skilled in technical problem-solving using engineering tools and data analysis.
- Excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to influence and advise stakeholders.
Education Requirements Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or other related Engineering Field.
- Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
- Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or
- Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
- Possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry or Math and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
- Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
