Job Details Under the general direction of the Director Rehabilitation Medicine, the Manager Cardiac Rehabilitation is directly responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating the management and clinical practice activities for Cardiac Rehabilitation and the Fitness Institute. Provides direct care to clients from adolescent through late adulthood. Essential Functions: * Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. (Do not delete, move or over-write this statement) * Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make Abington - Jefferson Health (AJH) the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees * Monitors and supervises the Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation participants in the daily exercise session to ensure a safe and professional environment through the progressive rehabilitation of the client. * Promotes and provides leadership and education for the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Fitness Institute staff to promote quality assurance activities, effective program operations, employee development, and an efficient, effective functioning department and staff. * Develops and participates in the clinical teaching activities for the members of all phases of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and Fitness Institute to provide for the educational components of the client's care. * Accountable for the clinical and operational structure of the Fitness Institute to provide a quality program for the members. * Facilitates continuity of care from the hospital setting throughout the outpatient arena to provide efficient and effective integration and coordination of all phases of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. * Performs other duties as assigned Job Description Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey required. ACLS certification required. ACSM certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional interactive experience with multiple allied health care professionals. Ability to follow high standards of conduct in the work environment/the institution in a professional manner. Ability to provide clients with high quality service. Patient care equipment/supplies, computer with associated software and peripheral devices, exercise equipment, telemetry monitors, defibrillator, suction machine, sphygmomanometer, copy machine, EKG machine, oxygen tank, telephone with voice mail system, facsimile machine, AED.
