***If you have experience working front desk in a healthcare clinical setting, as well as verifying medical insurances, please send your most updated resume to rsison @ teksystems.com - these resumes will be reviewed first prior to applications sent here. *** Job Title: Patient Access Representatives Start date: 06/09/2025 Hours: Fully Onsite, 13 week contract-to-hire * 3 @ morning shift Day shift: 7:30am - 4pm * 2 @ afternoon shift: Afternoon shift: 3:30pm - 12am Must haves: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and computer navigation and typing proficiency * High School or GED preferred * Working knowledge of MS Office Suite * 3+ years of healthcare customer service * Must have the ability to diffuse tough situations and handle high volume of customer interaction along with the stress levels that come along with that. * Must be sympathetic and very patient as this clinic will be taking calls from primarily elderly individuals. * Must be able to multi-task. *Description* Candidate will be working in the Emergency Department o Position requires a lot of walking and standing o Patient facing * Candidate should know medical terminology * Patient access/Registration * Self starter, good communication o Willing to learn/ trainable * They will be checking in patients at the front desk or moving from room to room in the emergency dept to ensure that the patients demographic information and insurance info are all up to date as well as scan copies of their information as needed. This is not a desk job. Employees will be on their feet the majority of the day. -Under general supervision, follows standard operating procedures and protocols for all bedside patient registration activities including patient reception, face-to-face check in, preregistration, confirmation of insurance eligibility and cash collections. -Performs new patient registration; updates registration and insurance information; responds to inquiries from all callers/customers. -Advocates on the caller/customer behalf to ensure their needs are met. -Acts as a welcoming front door for all callers/customers, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs, while providing efficient, effective customer relationship management. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* -One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting. -Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. -Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff. -Must be willing to be on your feet for long periods and able to instruct others. -Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Preferred Skills & Experience: -EPIC training/experience. -Insurance payor systems experience. -ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
