Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise-Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support-serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients. Summary: The Supply Technician will perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Completing, posting, filing, controlling, or coding supply documents or transactions using frequently used terminology, forms, or codes.
- Monitoring paperwork and records associated with receiving, storing, issuing, replenishing, or inventorying commonly used administrative supplies, equipment, aircraft parts and industrial operation consumables.
- Obtaining information regarding the status of supply transactions to include receipts and delivery status updates.
- Ensuring packing slips accompanying shipments match the requirements of Purchase or Delivery orders prior to entering receipts in Asset Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS).
- Frequently apply knowledge of requisitioning and stock control procedures and regulations to check appropriate computer listings, item histories, procurement documents, shipment invoices, or other available records or files.
- Assisting in preparing procedures for annual inventories, participating in the inventory process, researching causes of inventory discrepancies by checking all property records (e.g., purchase orders, surveys, transfers, and other available sources).
- Compiling information necessary for consideration in survey actions relating to loss, damage, or destruction of Government-owned property.
- May be required to transport boxed parts, kits, and associated paperwork between the ALC Warehouse and various shops. These deliveries are typically limited to the parts, kits, and associated paperwork that are the primary function of the Supply Technicians and should not consume more than twenty percent (20%) of the standard work shift.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient personal computer skills to include a strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office suite office products.
- Ability to understand supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to lift and carry items that weigh about twenty (23) kilograms (fifty (50) pounds) with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers.
- Ability to lift parts and equipment that weigh up to nine (9 )kilograms (twenty (20) pounds).
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in using computers as part of a military or civilian retail / store / warehouse environment.
