Job Description:

The OTC - SAP Jurisdiction Control - Niche role is a specialized position within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) function, focusing on the critical area of jurisdiction control within SAP. This role requires an expert with extensive SAP experience, particularly in Sales and Distribution (SD) and Finance (FI), with a deep understanding of how jurisdiction control impacts OTC processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and optimizing jurisdiction control within complex SAP environments, including S/4HANA. This role involves ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to sales and tax across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:


  • SAP Jurisdiction Control Expertise:

    • Manage and oversee all aspects of jurisdiction control within SAP OTC processes.
    • Configure and maintain SAP SD and FI modules to accurately determine and apply jurisdiction-specific rules for sales, tax, and compliance.
    • Ensure that SAP systems correctly identify and manage varying jurisdictional requirements, including tax laws, trade regulations, and other legal constraints.
    • Provide expert guidance on best practices for SAP jurisdiction control to minimize risk and ensure compliance.


  • OTC Process Optimization:

    • Analyze and optimize OTC processes to ensure seamless integration with jurisdiction control requirements.
    • Identify and implement improvements to SAP configurations and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in jurisdiction determination.
    • Streamline the handling of complex jurisdictional scenarios, such as drop shipments, intercompany transactions, and sales to special economic zones.


  • S/4HANA Implementation and Enhancement:

    • Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, providing specialized expertise in jurisdiction control within the OTC stream.
    • Design and configure S/4HANA solutions to leverage new functionalities for improved jurisdiction management.
    • Optimize S/4HANA settings to ensure efficient and accurate handling of jurisdictional requirements.


  • Compliance and Regulatory Management:

    • Stay up-to-date with changing legal and regulatory requirements related to jurisdiction control across various regions.
    • Ensure that SAP systems and OTC processes comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Work with legal and tax departments to interpret and implement new jurisdictional rules in SAP.
    • Manage audits related to jurisdiction control, providing necessary documentation and support.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure alignment of OTC processes with jurisdiction control requirements.
    • Work with IT teams to implement and maintain SAP solutions for jurisdiction control.
    • Partner with external consultants and vendors as needed to support jurisdiction control initiatives.


  • Training and Support:

    • Develop and deliver training to OTC staff on SAP jurisdiction control processes and best practices.
    • Provide ongoing support to users for jurisdiction-related issues in SAP.
    • Create and maintain documentation for SAP jurisdiction control configurations and procedures.




Qualifications:


  • Minimum 12-13 years of experience in SAP, with a strong focus on SD and FI modules.
  • Extensive experience in configuring and managing jurisdiction control within SAP OTC processes.
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations, specifically in OTC areas.
  • Deep understanding of tax laws, trade regulations, and other legal requirements related to jurisdiction control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Skills:


  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • SAP certification in SD or FI.
  • Experience with Vertex or Taxware.
  • Knowledge of global trade management principles.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
