Overview
The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading recruitment efforts in Family Foster Care Parent home development. The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager will lead their state recruitment team in developing territories, increasing targeted populations, developing sales plans, and developing rapport with potential candidates, and help increase awareness of the need for families. The Foster Parent Recruitment Manager is also responsible for taking new families through the SAFE home study process, mitigating applications with recruitment team, and seeing homes through the state licensing process.
Responsibilities
Develops and executes effective recruitment and marketing strategies to grow foster parent new home development with State Recruitment Team
- Leads recruitment discussions with state recruitment team with fully developed and polished communication and writing skills
- Maintains current data in Foster Parent Pipeline while consulting with Recruitment team weekly for updates, goals, and upcoming recruitment activities
- Identifies areas of growth within the team by listening and solution/consultative selling
- Serves as a leadership role amongst recruitment team
- Manages multiple recruitment opportunities simultaneously and demonstrates a focus on follow-up and accountability
- Understands and follows all agency and state licensing requirements and always ensure foster parents' compliance with regulations
- Work through and complete certification process with foster parents, including the completion of necessary documentation required
- Learns and executes the company's consultative selling strategy to build sustainable relationships with targeted referral customers
- Participates in strategic planning and the analysis with each member of the state recruitment team
- Coordinates with Director to plan in-services, presentations, and address issues with referral sources
- Initiates and coordinates contract negotiations with facilities, insurance companies, and managed care organizations
- Participates in community and organizational programs, as requested, to promote professional growth and understanding
- Participates in the quality and performance improvement process
- Supports and promotes the Company philosophy to referral sources in the community
- Promotes an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment
- Supports and implements specific procedures and programs to meet new home development goals
- Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform, and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Childhood Education, Education Counseling and Psychology, or other Human Service, Behavioral Science field or Public Administration field
- Minimum of three year of work experience in a Child Placing Agency, the Department of Family and Children Services, or Non-Profit Agency preferred
- Two to four years of Experience in Resource Development/ Foster Parent Recruitment and Retention preferred
- Two year of marketing, fundraising, and event coordination preferred
- One to five years' experience in full cycle recruiting in a fast paced, professional oriented environment; experience in sales, insurance or financial services recruitment preferred
- State Specific Foster Parent Pre-Service Training Certificate
- SAFE certified Home Study Writer Certification Preferred. Company will assign this training within first month of employment as a Licensing Specialist
- Strong recruiting mentality and a general understanding of a recruiting life-cycle from sourcing/lead generation to filling positions
- Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Demonstrated knowledge of vast recruiting strategies, including savvy social media platforms
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail
- Effective at cold calling, pursuing warm leads, and transforming candidates into new colleagues
- Ability to remain customer focused and use independent judgement in problem solving
- Ability to think through issues and identify appropriate options
- Ability to speak in front of people to deliver necessary material or messaging
- Ability to influence professionals of senior management level
- Ability to design and apply change management and organizational development strategies and influences and assists organizational change initiatives in support of business strategies
- Ability to work with remote teams with units in multiple locations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Substantial business acumen in fast moving environment
