Job Description
Hiring Full-Time Security Officer $18.02 / Hour - Weekly Pay Location: Lincoln Shift:
Thursday, Friday, 0000 - 0800 / Saturday, Sunday, 1800 - 0600
Duties:
- Supervise Emergency Communications & Security Operations.
- Monitor all security, communications, alarm systems and activity at the designated locations.
- Handle (without delay of reporting) complaints, unusual and critical events to the Security Director.
- Directly responsible for the accurate documentation of all events routine, critical and unusual that occur on or near the facilities monitored.
- Accurately maintain control of all keys and equipment. Accurately log all keys and equipment signed out and returned.
- Notify (without delay of reporting) Area Owners or designated contacts for building management alarms, requests for access and other related events.
- Inform (without delay of reporting) any missing, damaged, or inoperable keys and equipment to the Security Director.
- Proactively monitor all Building Management Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Fire-Life Safety Systems, Video Management CCTV Systems, and site Emergency/Non-Emergency communications.
- Activate (when warranted) Fire-Life Safety System Public Address Notices, alerts, and alarms.
- Communicate with Alarm Monitoring Services and provide live feedback of reported events.
- Answer and respond to events and situations received in order of priority from site communications systems, BMS Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems and Fire-Life Safety systems.
- Control and monitor two-way communications system for the local facilities.
- Assist with visitor check-in validation and notification to designated Points of Contact.
- Speak clearly, give directions, and provide guidance to employees, contractors, and security staff always.
Preferred Skills: Computer literacy, Customer service experience As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
