As a Security Professional - Access Control in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing excellent customer service and communication to all personnel and visitors. You will play a key role in supporting a people-first culture, working collaboratively with your team, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and reliability in all interactions.

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, or hazards according to site protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during evacuations or other urgent situations.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to address questions or concerns related to access control.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Nevada Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
