EMS Program Coordinator - EMS Education - Full Time Days Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm Department: EMS Education Schedule: Full Time Days Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm Hospital: Henry Ford Health Genesys Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan GENERAL SUMMARY Coordinates and develops programs with emergency medical services providers. Acts as a liaison between hospital and emergency medical services providers to increase volume of patients brought to emergency room. Oversees hospital training regarding emergencies. Ensures plan meets federal, state and other regulatory requirements. Educates emergency medical services providers of changes in pre-hospital standards of care. Establishes quality review process for emergency medical services run sheets and follows up with providers. Assists in the development of marketing and communication programs directed towards emergency medical services providers to increase awareness of hospital's range of services. Education/Experience Requirements Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) before hire date or transfer date. Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Advanced licensure preferred. Advanced Life Support (ALS)obtained before hire date or job transfer date. Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
