Security Officer - Armed Part Time

As a Security Officer - Armed Telecoms in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a leading technology environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry authorized weapons while conducting routine patrols and responding to incidents as needed. You will interact professionally with staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $28.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Carry out security procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence and monitoring the premises.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid Armed Security Guard Card or License.
• Must have a valid California Armed Security Professional License.
• Must have a valid California Weapons Permit with 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Must have a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Must have completed a 6-month firearms qualification.
• Must acknowledge firearms responsibilities as a condition of employment.
• Must have an Armed Designation as required by the post.
• Must have a valid permit or certification for armed handcuff, baton, pepper spray, and sidearm as required by the post.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military.
• Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• A college degree is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
