This position primarily serves as maintenance and campus grounds support, with some additional duties as needed in custodial and events. The maintenance portion of this job is to be responsible for repairs campus wide. Duties include, but are not limited to: grounds work such as mowing and plowing, plumbing, light electrical, painting, troubleshooting mechanical equipment/motor vehicles and basic building repairs. Maintaining daily work orders and proactively responding to preventative maintenance issues are a high priority for this position. Providing part time support during snow storms and contributing to lawn care is required. Scope of job may change to suit operational necessity.

This position provides occasional small share of custodial responsibilities, including, but not limited to: cleaning/maintaining corridors, classrooms, dormitories and office spaces. Additional responsibilities include: restroom cleaning, dusting, cleaning windows, trash removal, vacuuming, function set-ups and take downs, moving furniture, as well as utilization of custodial equipment.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fitness for duty test. An acceptable driving record is highly desirable. Minimum of two years' experience in the aforementioned responsibilities, good to superior references in that field and a HS diploma or GED is required. Trade skills at a mid-grade professional level are desirable. Must have ability to adapt to adverse weather conditions and situations. Team player with a positive attitude is a must.
