Job Overview

The Optimization Manager role will serve as a subject matter expert in our cutting-edge transportation management system (TMS) while being at the forefront of innovation, devising strategies that will transform the supply chain landscape.

In this dynamic role, you'll identify challenges while implementing solutions that drive impactful change. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, product teams and technical experts to bring the new vision to life all while ensuring our TMS is performing optimally in line with our broader network strategy.

What You Will Do




  • Be the Expert: Represent transportation as a subject matter expert to create, test and implement new ideas and capabilities under the transportation domain
  • Strategize and Optimize: Plan and model various what-if scenarios for network optimization, ensuring our operations are always at their peak performance.
  • Maintain Excellence: Strategically oversee TMS maintenance, optimization settings and rates for unparalleled performance
  • Educate and Support: Craft engaging training plans for end users and provide exceptional support during the rollout of new functionalities
  • Analyze: Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost and performance improvements
  • Build Relationships: Maintain Best-in- class partnerships with our third party carriers and vendors to collect feedback and influence the roadmap
  • Foster Inclusivity: Create an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • Promote Growth: Focus on and promote effective team member development.



Skills You Will Need

Leadership: Ability to lead projects effectively, ensuring smooth transition and rollout.

Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate training materials and support.

Collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating with operations to align operating models and deliver the best possible service to stores and customers.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.

Performance Management: Ability to manage the performance of third-party software providers through key performance indicators, ensuring adherence to standards.

Financial Acumen: Understanding of finance principles to partner with finance on monthly budget planning and key financial metrics.

Team Development: Focus on promoting effective team member development, fostering a supportive work environment.

Transportation Management Tools: Working understanding of transportation management tools such as Blue Yonder, facilitating efficient transportation operations.

Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to solve problems efficiently and address issues directly as they arise, maintaining operational effectiveness.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Transportation.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
