The NOAM Sr. Payroll Analyst will support high-impact strategic initiatives including process improvement projects, system implementations, data analytics and reporting, and compliance for the NOAM payroll operations. This role will support in the delivery of comprehensive solutions that streamline processes in support of evolving regulations and compliance procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, conducting detailed analyses, and supporting the implementation of payroll policies and procedures. The sr. analyst will carry out and support the strategy, design, implementation, and monitoring of payroll operations and policies to ensure compliance and accuracy.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Payroll Compliance: Assist in evaluating pay practices to ensure compliance with country-specific, federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on new regulations and ensure their appropriate application.
  • Data analysis and Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data both inbound and outbound. Generate and analyze payroll reports to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance, and support the business. Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards for tracking payroll metrics, providing insights that drive strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HRIT, Legal, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliant payrolls through system integrations. Maintain effective communication and relationships with these stakeholders.
  • Project Support: Support the execution and delivery of payroll solutions and projects, including requirements definition, process mapping, testing, integration, data migration, cutover activities, and change management. Provide high-quality customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving complex and escalated payroll issues, collaborating with leadership and employing advanced problem-solving strategies. Ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll discrepancies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll operations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, driving initiatives to optimize payroll efficiency and effectiveness. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and systems to better serve the organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree OR equivalent. For every 1 year of education, 3 years of payroll experience is required

Preferred:

  • CPP Certification, Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related business administration

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of North America payroll experience.
  • Significant experience with knowledge of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, and time & attendance collection.
  • Strong data management skills for handling complex payroll data and integrations
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to payroll systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to team goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and support process re-engineering.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to shift priorities.
  • Capability to synthesize and analyze information quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.

Preferred:

  • Project management experience
  • Dayforce system experience
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage
  • Experience working for a global and diverse company

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • A demonstrated understanding of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems; including, but not limited to, benefits, taxes, and time and attendance collection.
  • The ability to review regulatory publications, understand technical terminology and easily determine the effect pending and/or newly enacted legislation will have on current Department procedures.
  • Analytical reporting and excel skills
