Job Details The Surgical Scheduler enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally scheduling inpatient/outpatient procedures and/or surgeries. The Surgical Scheduler supports delivery of the Jefferson Experience by placing emphasis on the prompt and courteous treatment of all patients.Job Description The surgucal Scheduler is responsible for all surgical scheduling duties for the OMFS Navy yard office. To accumulate, investigate and provide accurate, timely patient insurance information to the OMFS office(s), Professional billing office(s) and Hospital offices prior to completion of inpatient/outpatient surgeries. To handle and investigate all OMFS bills relating to OR cases and other outside sources. Will interact and communicate largely with the professional billing personnel as well as the OMFS Financial Coordinator. The OMFS Surgical Scheduler will also work with patients and their families in a compassionate and tactful manner, prior to, during and following procedures/surgeries to allow for the continuity of care.
