This position is responsible for working closely with the Pricing Supervisor and the Senior Pricing Analyst.
Primary responsibilities include:
Analyzing supplier pricing to ensure system cost integrity for an assigned group of suppliers. Functions include updating item cost and sell price, review of pricing reports and the daily research and resolution of invoice discrepancies. Work will be performed in close collaboration with the Purchasing and Marketing teams based on supplier assignments to maximize communication and synergy. Monitor key metrics and supplier pricing performance to ensure supplier pricing communications are received, accurately updated and managed for optimum performance.
The Pricing Analyst will also participate and assist in projects, while maintaining individual performance metrics. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Price Change Management - Manage price changes and related analytics for an assigned list of suppliers to assess financial impact of cost changes.
* Perform price change analysis and communicate variance and financial impact to Marketing and Purchasing teams.
* Improve pricing accuracy and analyze supplier performance through additional data analytics of exception reporting.
* Communicate effectively and work closely with buying team to ensure that pricing requirements and purchasing systems are correctly matched so that the company can optimize cost savings and meet supplier prerequisites, such as minimums, case quantities, sub-vendors, deal requirements, etc.
* A good working knowledge of the purchasing system will be required to be effective.
* Timely and accurate entry of all price changes for same assigned group of suppliers. This includes administrative functions such as pricing log entry, follow-up queries and entry of same.
* Initiate negotiations with suppliers for price increase extensions and significant price change variances. Assist the Purchasing and Marketing teams in other negotiations as necessary.
* Invoice Discrepancy Review - Management of all invoice discrepancies pertaining to cost.
* Timely and accurate resolution of daily invoicing discrepancies, including identification of the cause and proactive action to prevent future purchase order/invoice discrepancies on the item and vendor level for assigned group of suppliers.
* Work closely with Account Payables to ensure all invoices and debit memos are processed accurately and timely in accordance to supplier terms.
* Review and analyze of Pricing Reports - review and analyze key reports to assess system accuracy on cost and purchasing adjustments.
