The Opportunity with Edo:

As an experienced sales professional, you will bring your intuitive skills and honed business expansion experience to Edo. In this role, you will drive the full lifecycle of business development activities to build, qualify, and manage a robust pipeline, as well as shape and win large opportunities.

The Utility Sales Directorrole is focused on building customer relationships with electric utilities in North America to foster opportunity development for Edo's growing utility program business. Knowledge and experience in energy efficiency, demand response/flexibility, and utilities are required.

  • Identify, shape and win opportunities with utilities with an annual sales target of $5M.
  • Build a pipeline at least 18 months into the future.
  • Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term go-to-market strategies to provide business opportunities to grow revenue.
  • Build, nurture and sustain customer and partner relationships that align with market growth and business development objectives.
  • Engage in conferences and industry events including external speaking engagements and meetings with utility clients.
  • Develop and support strategic partnerships with industry leaders, driving innovation, and new business opportunities.
  • Present regularly to Edo senior management, inventors, and Board with briefings and presentations on sales initiatives and outcomes.
  • Initiate and lead the response to requests for proposals and requests for qualifications.

What You Need to Succeed at Edo:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience selling work in the utilities market.
  • 10+ years of experience building and executing client call plans, shaping requirements, and leading business development strategies in a collaborative team environment.
  • 5 years of experience winning opportunities valued over $1M.
  • Established relationships with utility clients and program administrator partners across North America.
  • Demonstrated and verifiable experience growing pipeline and meeting sales targets.
  • Expertise in developing opportunities for program growth and actively proposing and pursuing appropriate enhancements and changes.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including authoring white papers, and responding to requests for proposals and other presentation materials.
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting complex ideas to executive audiences and effectively articulating customer positions, status, and strategies in a clear, concise, and decisive manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Salesforce.

The pay range for this position is $133,500 - $220,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
