To Thrive in this Role, You Will...
- Work with the Controller in creation of monthly financials, including but not limited to preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances
- Develop and supervise the Billing Specialist by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, trends, variance analysis and KPI reporting to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Assist in the preparation and review of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in collaboration with other departments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the organization.
- Work closely with the Accounting Systems Supervisor to ensure financial accuracy, process improvements and cross-department collaboration of our financial packages.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and reviews.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Commission calculations and comp model analysis for the Sales Teams as well as being a payroll back-up periodically.
- Work closely with our Project Management Team in project creation, setup and maintenance by maintaining reporting to identify change orders, margin analysis and post-mortem review.
- Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns for multiple states and jurisdictions in a timely and accurate manner.
You Bring a Track Record of...
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
- Strong time management and organizational skills
