Seeking an experienced project manager executive who is responsible for overseeing a project management team that manages several different types of projects with internal and external customers. The team will lead projects from initiation to closing, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors, and tracking the supply of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits, and project management methodology. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and strive to stay within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and implementation of project management strategies that align with a high growth, complex business and align business goals and growth objectives.
  • Serve as the focal point for all project related matters for multi-million-dollar projects with tight timelines. Expected growth in multiples year over year.
  • Lead a portfolio of large, complex commercial construction projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and oversight across all phases of project management, including planning, budgeting, risk management, resource allocation, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Ensure that projects meet or exceed performance expectations in terms of schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively addressing issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Champion a culture of safety across all projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, focusing on safety, environmental impact, financial risk, and schedule delays.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Facilitate communication between the project management team and other departments, such as engineering, procurement, finance, and legal.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, project engineers, and support staff, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure projects remain within the approved budget.
  • Implement and enhance project management methodologies, processes, and tools that drive efficiency and operational excellence.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, management, or related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in construction/project management; 10 years preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using construction or project management software preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $154,000 - $185,000 yearly, plus bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON:

  • Management of the Engage Operation team, overseeing 4 direct reports. All managers.
  • Management of all post-order activities, including project schedules and profitability.

WORK ENVIROMENT:

  • Travel is required to job sites and meeting locations.
  • Estimated travel is about twice per month, but will vary with load and project types.
  • The primary office will be remote, but you must be able to work in office environments and manufacturing environments.
  • Work in various types of mechanical and electrical service rooms and be comfortable around operating mechanical equipment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear.
  • Lifting (approx. 25 lbs) climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools.
