Summer Tutor

The University Learning Center is hiring part-time, temporary tutors to work as peer educators with UNCW students during the summer sessions. ULC Summer Tutors might work with students one-on-one, online, in an open lab, and/or lead a small group. These positions support students as they develop course content knowledge, problem-solving strategies, study skills, and writing skills. ULC Summer Tutors must be UNCW graduates, CRLA certified, and have a minimum of one semester of tutoring experience.

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
