The Animal Services Program is seeking a highly organized and motivated Event Coordinator to spearhead impactful off-site adoption events, vital spay/neuter clinics, and community outreach initiatives. We Require
Four years of experience planning and coordinating community events and/or outreach campaigns to raise awareness of specific programs Experience working in an animal shelter High school diploma or GED Post secondary education may substitute for two years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis

Experience working in a veterinary clinic and a humane society Experience driving large vehicles (29' and 31') Bilingual in Spanish and English
Job Contributions
Plan, coordinate, and execute all in-shelter and off-site events, including adoptions, licensing, vaccine clinics, spay/neuter services, and other community outreach and education efforts Select and prepare animals for events based on health and temperament, ensuring proper transport, humane handling, and sanitation throughout Research and identify opportunities to expand off-site adoption and public engagement. Deliver excellent customer service while following shelter policies and procedures. Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations (e.g., schools, churches) to support program goals and expand service delivery Track and report on program outcomes, opportunities, and effectiveness through scheduled feedback and data summaries Collaborate with the Communications Team to develop and distribute outreach materials that support community education Manage program inventory and supplies, including leashes, collars, vaccines, microchips, and related equipment
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk on all types of surfaces, sometimes slippery and/or uneven and rough. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50lb and perform duties that require lifting, bending, and stooping. Environmental factors can be indoors or outdoors, working in the extreme heat of the Arizona summers. Candidates must be flexible and able to work all shifts, including starting as early as 5 amand finishing as late as 9 pm, working weekends and holidays. Employees can beassignedto any shift, with any combination of days off, determined by the Department's needs. Candidates must be able to work independently at events. Frequently handles and will be exposed to dogs and cats with unknown temperament or behavior. Ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license with the ability to drive a 29' and 31' vehicle upon hire
