At TEKsystems we are working with a local company seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fraud Analyst to join their fraud prevention team. This role is responsible for detecting, investigating, and resolving digital fraud across online banking and digital payment platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in fraud detection, risk management, or business analysis within the financial services industry, and will be adept at identifying suspicious patterns and mitigating potential losses.
Key Responsibilities * Analyze transaction and customer data to identify patterns indicative of emerging fraud risks. * Review fraud alerts, transaction queues, and daily reports to detect suspicious activity. * Set up and document fraud cases, conducting in-depth investigations using internal systems and tools. * Identify anomalies and implement measures to prevent fraud, including transaction cancellations and access restrictions. * Analyze recorded phone interactions to detect behavioral red flags. * Apply behavioral analysis techniques to identify fraudsters during calls. * Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, actions taken, and outcomes. * Assist in developing and refining fraud detection policies and workflows. * Recommend improvements to customer authentication and fraud prevention strategies. * Contact customers flagged for suspicious activity to gather detailed information. * Conduct interviews to document fraudulent incidents thoroughly. * Provide empathetic support to affected customers while maintaining professionalism. * Record customer interactions to support investigations and future fraud prevention. * Collaborate with internal departments to confirm fraud cases and recommend actions. * Distribute fraud-related alerts and updates across the organization. * Support other teams with fraud-related inquiries and training. * Coordinate with vendors to adjust system configurations in response to fraud trends. Required Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of experience in digital fraud investigations, risk management, or business analysis within the financial industry. * Strong analytical mindset with the ability to detect data discrepancies and patterns. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must be located in Hawaii. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
