Working in collaboration with the Director, Ambulatory Operations, the Supervisor, Ambulatory Operations position strategically leads and monitors the daily operations, optimization efforts, transformational projects, clinic design, space allocation, staffing models and development, performance improvement, business plans, patient experience, clinician relations, care coordination, and other responsibilities for assigned ?Small? or ?Micro? sized Hospital-based or Community-based ambulatory site.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Leadership:
    • 1.1 Manages and directs the administrative activities of assigned small/micro size Hospital-based or Community-based ambulatory site with one or no minor service offerings, and 20 or less Exam Rooms
  • 2. Business Strategy and Implementation: Creates and contributes to strategic operational plans, identifies opportunities for innovation, continuously improves ambulatory care delivery models, and ensures the understanding, alignment, and commitment of all staff within span of control.
    • 2.1 Collaborates with leadership to design, develop, and implement clinically and fiscally responsible program philosophies, strategic goals and objectives
  • 3. Human Resources Management. Effectively utilizes existing process to select, align, develop, inspire, motivate and retain a team of highly skilled professionals.
    • 3.1 Coordinates the onboarding process of new clinicians to the practice and all operational aspects of integrating new clinicians into Ambulatory Care. Follows the onboarding guidelines to ensure newly hired clinicians are successful.
  • 4. Collaborates with Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance departments to guarantee proper compliance activities and safeguards. Ensures practices, procedures, and policies comply with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.
  • 5. Site Locations: Participates in Ambulatory site design and refurbishment, including expansion or consolidation, and ensures sites comply with all applicable regulatory requirements. Collaborates with necessary work streams across the enterprise to coordinate and manage project timelines and resources.
  • 6. Operational & Financial Management:
    • 6.1 Develops, coordinates, and maintains standardized work policies and procedures to improve operational effectiveness, level of care, and efficiency within span of control to achieve organizational goals
  • 7. Performs other duties as assigned and/or required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of three (3) years of healthcare supervisory and operations experience, preferred in an ambulatory practice setting. *YNHHS employees may substitute 3 years of internal experience in a clinical/ office setting.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of health care industry desirable. Ability to multitask high volume activity, other practice management software. Ability to deal with all levels of management and different types of staff.
