The power market continues to grow and evolve given strong capacity demand signals that haven't existed for over a decade. As a result, our national Power team is poised for monumental growth. We are seeking a qualified Project Manager to help our clients develop, contract, and implement power infrastructure (Generation and Delivery) projects.
As a Project Manager, you will be joining a highly capable, multi-discipline national team that supports power and energy projects within the industrial, IPP, developer, and utility power and energy industry. The Project Manager will be a seller-doer who helps maintain client relationships, develops project scope and execution plans, monitors and communicates status of the project, and leads multi-discipline teams to successful completion of the work.
This role requires client interaction (from pre-positioning for the work through project completion) and strong verbal and written communication skills as needed for regular interaction with internal staff such as project team members, marketing staff, and operations leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience with utility scale power generation and delivery infrastructure.
In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
- Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
- Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
- Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
- Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
- Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
- Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
- Implement QA/QC procedures
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- PMP certification
- Experience in one or more of the following fields: Thermal generation, hydropower, demolition
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
