Our reinsurance business unit, despite part of the broad GS platform, remains nimble, offering the perfect environment for an experienced actuary to make a meaningful impact from day one.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a talented Product & Pricing Actuary with deep expertise-especially in Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIA)-to help drive product innovation and pricing strategy. You'll play a central role in developing and refining reinsurance solutions, pricing models, leading product initiatives, and ensuring our offerings is competitive and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design new FIA products and enhance existing offerings
  • Lead the Design Team for the FIA product line, managing updates from concept to rollout
  • Conduct in-depth actuarial analysis to support pricing and profitability
  • Develop and maintain product specifications for the quantitative and IT teams. Establish model control processes to govern assumption updates, model improvements, etc.
  • Exceptional skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and driving innovative solutions.


Qualifications:



  • ASA or FSA designation (Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in annuity product development/pricing
  • Strong working knowledge of FIA products. Solid experience with life and/or annuity products and related actuarial functions (valuation, CFT, pricing, etc.). US-specific experience (Stat and/or GAAP) preferred. Experience with reinsurance is a plus.
  • Proficiency in one modelling software (AXIS, MG Alfa, Prophet ...)
  • Exceptional skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and driving innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation abilities. Translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, concise communication for non-actuarial audiences, both in writing and verbally.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
