The US Oncology Network is looking for a PRN Information Technology (IT) Operations Intern to join our team at Texas Oncology! This full-time position will support our Amarillo, Texas location. Regular travel is required.

What does the IT Operations Intern position do?

The primary focus of this role is on PC imaging and deployment. The candidate will assist in the preparation, configuration, and deployment of PCs, ensuring that all systems are properly imaged and ready for use. The role also involves providing end-user support, documenting incidents and requests for service, and assisting users with their questions during hardware deployments. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and configure PCs for deployment, including imaging and installation of necessary software.
  • Deploy PCs to end users, ensuring all systems are operational and meet user requirements.

  • Document and maintain records of end-user issues at deployment time.

  • Troubleshoot basic end-user questions and problems, providing basic user support as needed when deploying new hardware.

  • Follow standard operating procedures for imaging, testing, and deploying PCs.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes.

  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software components required for imaging and deployment.

  • Provide training and support to end users on new hardware and software as needed


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • 0-3 years experience in IT

  • High School Diploma and working on a Associates or Bachelor's degree

  • Prior experience in PC imaging and deployment preferred.

  • A+ certification and MCP in Microsoft Office preferred, but not required.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
