Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Golf Sales Manager to actively promote and sell group tee times, room accommodations and group golf tournaments!

At Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa, we are committed to providing guests and members with a first-class golf experience. This resort is home to a Pete Dye-designed championship golf course, a Beau Welling-designed short course and provides guests with access to the exclusive member's Long Point golf course designed by Tom Fazio. The most exciting factor to this opportunity, is that our Oak Marsh Golf Course recently underwent a $7.4 million renovation which opened to guests on May 16, 2025. This new role as a Golf Sales Manager will really help us promote our award winning courses!

Location: Onsite role based at Omni Amelia Isalnd Resort & Spa



Responsibilities

    Actively promote and secure tournament and group outings of 16 or more players by marketing and selling to golf associations, organizations, charities, business, corporations, hotel groups and destination planners
  • Achieves monthly sales goals as set forth by the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Reports on a weekly basis, all sales, definite contracts, and cancellations.
  • Prepares all documentation, contracts and internal communication documents for golf and hotel staff.
  • Secures written contracts to clients within two (2) weeks of verbal agreements and secures monetary deposits for bookings no later than 90 days prior to event (if applicable)
  • Develops and contacts new leads, reports on tentative business
  • Up-Sell various services (F&B, merchandise, contests, golf shop credits)
  • Participates in weekly tournament meeting to secure plan for upcoming group events
  • Conducts follow up calls and meetings with past business to ensure re-book of client and solicit referrals from client.
  • Implementation of policies, procedures and coordinating weekly and monthly meetings
  • Actively engages in site visits and resort golf promotional experiences
  • Attends mandatory Omni training set forth by the resort
  • Maintain working relationship with golf superintendent and other resort department heads


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in golf industry sales, including at least 3 years in sales at a comparable golf or resort facility.
  • At least one (1) year managerial experience
  • Must play golf and have knowledge of game and etiquette
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and guests, team members and management in a diplomatic and professional manner, both verbal and written
  • Full understanding of golf facility operations and sales process
  • Skilled in accepted business presentations and formats
  • Detail oriented and ability to work in a face paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines, sales goals and maximize revenues
  • Must have a valid driver's license for operation of golf carts
  • Must be knowledgeable in operation of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher
  • Scope of work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment. May be subjected to adverse conditions such as rain, wind, sun, extreme heat and cold
  • Must be able to withstand eight (8) hour workday.
  • May be subjected to standing on feet for several hours at a time.
