Clariant is currently looking for a Chemical Loading Operator to support the Care Chemicals business unit TX. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently completing the loading of shipping vessels at the Clear Lake facility, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and regulatory requirements. This role is performed in a dynamic chemical plant environment, which includes exposure to hazardous materials, moving equipment, and varying outdoor weather conditions. Operators must follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while maintaining a strong focus on quality, environmental compliance, and teamwork to support continuous and safe production operations.

Responsibilities

* Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures

* Actively participate in the site safety program, including safety committee meetings, Management of Change (MOC), and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)

* Ensure compliance with all site, local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations

* Perform housekeeping and 5S activities on each shift

* Follow instructions from the Loading Operator to ensure safe, quality loading operations

* Complete necessary paperwork and meet regulatory requirements for vessel loading

* Line up equipment properly for loading operations

* Accurately complete work permits (e.g., Hot Work, LOTO)

* Communicate effectively with loaders, operators, and shift supervisor

* Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues to support continuous improvement

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills through ongoing training

* Actively participate in SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) reviews and development

* Provide input and assist in identifying improvements to loading processes and equipment



Requirements

* Diploma or certificate in Process Technology preferred or minimum 2 years' experience in bulk chemical loading operations

* 2+ years of experience with operations in chemical manufacturing environments and bulk chemical loading/shipping

* Strong understanding of plant equipment, processes, test methods, and utility support systems

* Organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
