About the role:

Direct and oversee all accounting and financial activities of FIS' broker-dealer in both the US and UK, including accounting, financial and compliance reporting and recordkeeping. Support the overall FIS objectives to ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability goals as well as future business growth objectives. Maintain FINRA and SEC compliance.

About the team:

Manage a team of individuals who supports both the US and UK broker-dealer business.

What you will be doing:

  • Directs the accounting and finance activities of an organizational unit in support of revenue and profitability goals.

  • Establishes objectives, practices, procedures and initiatives typically relying on corporate senior management for setting strategic direction, guidance and company-wide policies.

  • Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff.

  • Ensures the accurate and timely preparation of all financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, regulators etc.

  • Oversee all financial aspects of the broker-dealer, including accounting, financial and compliance reporting, and recordkeeping.

  • Prepare and submit required financial reports to regulatory bodies like FINRA and the SEC

  • Ensure the firm adheres to all FINRA rules, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to net capital, customer protection, and recordkeeping.

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all financial transactions and activities, as required by securities industry rules.

  • Serve as Broker-Dealer FinOp, Principal Financial Officer and Principal Operations Officer for FIS Global US Broker-Dealer (subject to FINRA Series 27 Licensing Requirements)

  • Develops and implements policy, governance and standards.

  • Provides key financial advice to members of executive and management committees.

  • Participates in strategy and business plan development and regularly meets with business owners.

What you will need:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of financial management experience, as well as an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the practices, regulations and operation of the assigned division.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • FINRA Series 27 licensed individual to serve as FinOps Principal for the US broker dealer entity.

Added bonus if you have:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred.

  • Preferred FINRA Series 24 (General Securities Principal) and FCA MIFIDPRU investment firm knowledge

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $140,890.00 - $236,690.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
