Senior Financial Analyst, Reference Labs

The Reference Labs FP&A team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our exciting and dynamic business.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our financial planning cycles while serving as an engaged business partner across varying levels of Labs management. By leveraging strong interpersonal skills and using a collaborative approach to provide decision support and analysis, this role seeks to drive business results through highlighting key performance insights and supporting strategic business decisions.

In This Role You Will:

  • Support period-end close processes to ensure the reliability and integrity of financial information. This includes journal entry review and preparation, identifying and performing ad hoc financial analysis for accuracy and insights into monthly results, and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring that financial information is recorded and presented accurately.

  • Complete various analyses, reports and presentations; performing ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed

  • Participate in financial planning cycles, including quarterly forecasts, annual budget, and long-term strategic planning

  • Partner with Lab Managers by providing financial business tools, dashboards and reports for timely decision-making. Consult with and advise business partners to ensure business decisions are well supported from financial standpoint. Opportunity to interact with various levels of Reference Labs leadership through reporting and analysis

  • Create financial models for business initiatives such as product launches, geographical expansion and proposed marketing programs

  • Identify and implement process improvements in planning, analysis, reporting and monitoring of both financial and non-financial measures; leverage information technology to automate, streamline and integrate processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and audit requirements while modeling the IDEXX Purpose and Guiding Principles.

Keys to Success:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience

  • Proven ability as a lead Finance business partner with a desire to learn the business

  • Proactive work ethic and a passion for learning and development

  • Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective verbal and written communications

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business needs

  • Technical skills, including use of ERP systems, Excel, dashboarding and other data analytics software

This position is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week at the Global Headquarters in Westbrook, ME.
