Description
We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial analysis, assessing risk, and developing pricing strategies for both new business and renewals. You will collaborate closely with sales teams and occasionally engage directly with client managers to negotiate financial terms. This role applies underwriting guidelines and sound business judgment to develop strategic pricing recommendations that support Medica's financial performance and client retention goals. The ideal candidate will be an experienced underwriter with a strong analytical mindset, confident decision-making skills, and the ability to effectively translate complex data into actionable insights. They will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working cross-functionally with sales, actuarial, and other business stakeholders. Key Accountabilities

This position is a hub-based role which will work primarily remotely but may require some onsite presence. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance to one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI. Onsite frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership. The full salary range for this position is $77,100 - $132,200. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
