Introduction We are seeking an experienced Azure System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the DevOps Cloud Lead and Azure Architect to contribute to Infrastructure As Code (IaC) and CI/CD engineering for scrum teams. This role involves managing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of various applications and workloads.
What you will be doing
Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage IaC using tools such as Terraform and ARM templates to automate the provisioning and configuration of Azure resources. CI/CD Pipeline: Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and other tools to automate the deployment and testing of applications. Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance and availability of Azure resources, identify and resolve issues, and optimize resource utilization. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and identity management using Azure AD and other tools. Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps Cloud Lead, Azure Architect, and scrum teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services. Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-related issues, including network connectivity, resource provisioning, and application performance. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Azure infrastructure, configurations, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Location and Travel Details
This is a remote position with occasional travel.
Required for this Opportunity
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure.
- IaC Development: Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates.
- DevOps Engineering: Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on Azure technologies.
- Azure Certification: Azure Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and Azure AD.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Containerization: Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
