Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, Punch Press, Thread Rolling, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision, provides clerical and administrative support to the Sales Department.

  • Provides sales support for the sales department.
  • Creates and maintains files for new, current and internal company customers.
  • Data order entry in the AS400 system
  • Answering phone calls in a friendly professional manner
  • Assisting customers with order updates, status of their order and quotes
  • Taking and delivering messages
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor's or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter possessing a high level of integrity.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, such as Excel, Word, etc.
  • Must be reliable, flexible, and punctual
  • Highly adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Availability to work 30+ hours per week during the internship period.

  • The purpose of this internship is to streamline processes, advance project management, and document work instructions.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21 to $23 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
