Position: Certified Surgical Technician Department: Menino Operating Room (Inpatient Surgery) Schedule: 36 hours, Day/Night, Every Third Weekend, Call Required POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by providing an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure the methodology complies with established sterile standards and procedures. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus:
EDUCATION: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must also be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program). CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Surgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013). Compensation Range: $38.94- $49.38This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
