Temporary Unarmed Security Officer - $18.50/hr

Pay Rate: $18.50

Shift: 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd . Must be available on weekends.

Locations: Chicago 60652, Plainfield 60586, Naperville 60563, New Lenox 60451, Tinley Park 60487

6-8 weeks potential for FT after.

Must Have:

• Previous Experience in Security

1. Required Training is preferred
2. Security Guard License is preferred
3. Must submit or pass a background check
4. Great communication skills

In this role, you will:

• Stand guard at security officer post, directing visitors, issuing access badges, and providing escorts as necessary.

1. Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
2. Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
3. Look for and report potential safety hazards.
4. Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined for the position and follow all PPE policies and procedures.
5. Follow all client site-specific duties, as required and outlined in post-orders.
6. Work additional hours when necessary - fill open shifts, as needed.
7. Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of their jobs at all times as well as be in compliance with company policy and procedures as it relates to their job function.
8. Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.
9. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.

What you'll need:

• High School Diploma or GED.

1. Must be able to pass a Background Check.
2. State Security Officer License
3. Valid driver's license
4. Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred)
5. Previous experience as a security officer (preferred)
6. Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security - Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.
