Job Description Job Title: Lifecycle Engineer - Naval Propulsion Services Working Pattern: Fulltime Working location: Walpole, MA The Lifecycle Engineer provides in-service support of Naval Propulsion Systems including but not limited to Fixed Pitch Propellers (FPP), Controlled Pitch Propellers (CPP), Waterjets, and associated auxiliary systems. As part of this agreement, the role you are applying for will transition to Fairbanks Morse Defense after the closing of the transaction, expected mid-year 2025. What you will be doing: With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to be responsible for providing technical support for engineering investigations (EI), safety related investigations and documentation, customer technical issues, and technical publications (bulletins). As part of the Engineering for Services (Efs) team, you will provide in-service product engineering support to internal and external customers on U.S. Naval Marine Propulsion systems under the technical authority of the Chief Engineer. You will work closely with other Lifecycle engineers, the Program team, and other Engineering teams to provide technical solutions during all product lifecycle phases, from early pre-contract concept development, through design maturation and production and into service to achieve an optimum combination of availability, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle affordability.
