About the role

TheDiesel Mechanicis a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all components of diesel and gasoline engine-driven heavy trucks, construction equipment, and complex hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

The 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs, including emergency repairs in the field.
  • Inspect and direct subordinate technicians to perform repairs to all components of heavy vehicles, systems, and equipment.
  • Conduct service road calls.
  • Execute gas and electric welding as needed
  • Complete equipment maintenance records.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Valid driver's license required CDL preferred
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a mechanical role.
  • NYSI inspector license is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Cummins, Insite, JPro and Davies software
  • Demonstrate safety-conscious behaviors.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, gas welding, brazing or cutting apparatus, and various other heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, noise levels, and outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands of the Role

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

The expected hourly pay rate for this position is $30-35 per hour.

This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability and location. Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
