THE JOB:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in creating, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

THE STARTING RATE:$26.00/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Inspect facilities and construction areas to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with local and state safety laws

• Develop and implement safety policies to help reduce workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations

• Support HR, vendors, and safety teams in resolving workers' compensation issues

• Investigate workplace accidents to identify causes and recommend safety improvements

• Help prepare reports and materials related to accidents for insurance claims, legal matters, and hearings

• Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries, including OSHA-required documentation

• Share safety information with managers and coordinate with external agencies like OSHA and fire departments for safety updates and support

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in administrative or supervisory experience.

• Prior exposure and knowledge to fire/safety, OSHA and other related regulations highly preferred.
