SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible forleading the preparation and filing of SEC reports and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal reporting standards. This role partners cross-functionally with Legal, Investor Relations, and Finance teams to deliver accurate, transparent disclosures and support key external communications. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, public company environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, earnings releases, and related XBRL tagging
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal reporting policies
  • Manage and review quarterly footnote disclosures, MD&A, and other supporting schedules
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on technical accounting issues, providing guidance on new accounting pronouncements and complex transactions (e.g., equity, revenue recognition, impairments)
  • Partner with Legal and Investor Relations on external communications and earnings-related disclosures
  • Drive continuous improvement in the financial reporting process, including implementing automation, strengthening internal controls, and maintaining reporting templates
  • Support internal stakeholders (e.g., tax, treasury, FP&A) with ad hoc financial data, disclosure research, and board materials
  • Lead or support special projects, including accounting policy development, system upgrades, and M&A integration
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in financial reporting (for a public company or with a Big 4 firm, preferred)
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience preparing or reviewing XBRL filings and using financial reporting systems (e.g., Workiva, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex accounting topics for non-finance audiences
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with SOX 404 compliance and internal control frameworks
  • Exposure to complex accounting areas such as stock-based compensation, business combinations, and derivatives
  • Prior experience in a high-growth or transformation-stage public company
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
