Sigma Defense is seeking an Electronics Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline to gain hands-on experience in the development, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems.
The intern will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to exciting projects while honing their technical skills and gaining a comprehensive understanding of electronics engineering in a real-world setting.

Requirements
  • Must have 1 - 4 years of Electronic Engineering experience.
  • Must have familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Some college coursework from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.

Computer Programs/Software:

  • Familiarity with common coding languages. (Python, C++, Java)
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling software. (Altium, SolidWorks)

Candidate Differentiators:

  • Prior internship experience or academic projects related to electronics design or testing.
  • Less than one year to complete coursework in an acceptable degree plan.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Essential Job Duties (Not All-Inclusive):

  • Assist with designing, developing, and assembling electronic circuits and systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Contributes to testing and validation or electronic components and systems. This may include the assembly of designed systems.
  • Participate in documentation and reporting of engineering processes and results.
  • Engage in hands-on laboratory, including assembly and troubleshooting of prototypes.

Hourly Rate: $31.25 hourly.
