Position Summary
The College Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in fostering meaningful connections between the College of Pharmacy and its alumni, donors, parents, corporations, and industry partners. This position executes coordinated engagement strategies that work together to strengthen the donor pipeline-including special events, targeted digital marketing efforts and personalized outreach. These efforts are designed to move individuals toward deeper involvement with the College, creating a natural progression from broad-based engagement to more meaningful philanthropic relationships.

Responsibilities include managing a multi-day digital engagement cadence to guide alumni through structured outreach efforts, with a focus on making a set number of meaningful contacts each week; tracking and analyzing engagement data to refine strategy; soliciting annual gifts; stewarding donors; referring leadership-level prospects; and coordinating personalized campus visits for key constituents.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, with strategic direction from the Director of College Engagement and Giving, the Coordinator ensures all engagement activity contributes to a cohesive, donor-centered advancement approach.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Knowledge

  • Detailed understanding of University of Georgia operations, including institutional policies and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of UGA budgetary policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with key UGA systems, including OneUSG, UGAMart, UGA Financial Management System, and GAIL
  • Understanding of alumni and donor engagement strategies, including event planning, digital marketing, and relationship development
  • Awareness of the donor lifecycle and the role of annual giving in major gift development


Skills

  • Outstanding writing and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated experience in volunteer management and event coordination
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives from concept to completion
  • Ability to track, analyze, and act on engagement and fundraising data to refine strategies and measure success
  • Experience developing and managing digital engagement cadences or multi-touch outreach campaigns
  • Annual fund solicitation and stewardship experience

Alumni Engagement & Donor Pipeline Development

  • Coordinate personalized campus visits for key constituents to strengthen donor relationships.
  • Develop, execute, and manage a multi-day digital engagement cadence, guiding alumni through structured outreach efforts that deepen their connection to the College and highlight philanthropic opportunities.
  • Track and analyze engagement data to measure effectiveness and refine strategies, ensuring a continuous pipeline of alumni moving toward greater involvement.
  • Solicit annual gifts, steward donors, and refer leadership prospects to the Director of College Engagement and Giving and the Sr. Director of Development.

Signature Events & Professional Meetings

  • Plan and execute Signature College events and as well as engagement events held in conjunction with external conferences and professional meetings.
  • Leverage UGA Alumni Association programs and events to increase alumni engagement and philanthropic support.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility in managing event budgets, vendor contracts, and financial reporting.
  • Support major College ceremonies and events organized by other departments/offices

  • Oversee the College's alumni awards program, including selecting and nominating Pharmacy alumni for UGA-wide recognition programs.

  • Ensure all alumni and donor interactions are documented in the GAIL database for strategic follow-up.

  • Identify alumni stories for social media, newsletters, and digital engagement campaigns.
  • Collect and compile class notes for inclusion in college communications.
