Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Business Systems Strategic Partner to join their IT Business Systems team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of IT and business operations and plays a key part in system deployment, digital transformation, and driving user adoption across the organization. This position is crucial in supporting the company's business growth, market expansion, and the integration of new branch sites into IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will act as a deployment and knowledge expert, embedding themselves in various business functions to identify and implement IT-enabled solutions, lead change management initiatives, and optimize processes to support long-term strategic goals.
Core Responsibilities:
System Deployment & Integration
  • Coordinate the rollout and integration of new systems, tools, and technologies across business units and branch sites.
  • Serve as a deployment lead, ensuring alignment with ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and third-party vendors on configuration, data migration, and post-launch support.
  • Assist with adopting new IT solutions across recently acquired or integrated branches.
User Adoption & Change Management
  • Develop and execute training, onboarding programs, and documentation to drive system adoption.
  • Serve as a champion for user engagement, identifying pain points and facilitating stakeholder buy-in.
  • Lead structured change management efforts, including communication planning, end-user support, and adoption metrics tracking.
Business Process Analysis
  • Partner with operations and business leaders to evaluate current workflows and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into IT deliverables, bridging the gap between functional needs and technical solutions.
  • Support the identification and design of scalable IT solutions that contribute to business growth and market share expansion.
Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide hands-on support during and after system rollouts, acting as a key point of contact for user issues and feedback.
  • Monitor usage, system health, and enhancement opportunities to promote continuous improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge bases, SOPs, and best practices to support long-term usability and knowledge retention.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with business operations, IT leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Facilitate open communication between IT and business users, ensuring transparency in decisions and priorities.
  • Represent IT in cross-departmental meetings and process improvement initiatives (PIRs), aligning technology with business strategy.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT business analysis, systems implementation, or digital transformation roles.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business units within the plumbing, HVAC, or trades sales & distribution industry.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, or workflow automation platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience applying project management and change management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills (3+ years working in cross-functional teams).
Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years of experience collaborating across both IT and business functions to drive user adoption and technology alignment.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering end-user training, creating documentation, or providing technical support.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to complex business processes and evolving system environments.
