Job Title: Quality Technician II

Location(s): Wichita, KS



Role Overview:
This position involves executing routine and non-routine quality tasks using specialized tools, systems, and methods. The individual is responsible for initiating actions based on established guidelines when quality standards are not met and may serve as the firstpoint of contact for quality-related inquiries.

Key Functional Areas:
Quality Assurance:


  • Proceeds independently with qualified tasks, both routine and non-routine.
  • Uses specialized systems and equipment to perform quality checks.
  • Takes corrective action according to pre-defined quality standards.
  • Responds to inquiries related to quality, potentially serving as the subject matter contact.


Administration / Customer Services:

  • Operates within defined procedures and routines but has flexibility to adapt appropriately.
  • Applies standard solutions and may adapt them for unexpected situations (requires support/authorization).
  • Handles practical, non-complex inquiries using standard software packages.
  • Performs data entry, reporting, and documentation.


Production:

  • Operates several specialized machines, including CNC machines with parameter setting.
  • Runs multiple machines simultaneously while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Follows clearly defined processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • May be involved in automated line processing and quality monitoring.


Assembly:

  • Performs repetitive, qualified assembly processes using a variety of tools and machines.
  • Requires theoretical knowledge and procedural understanding.
  • Each assembly step may take a few seconds to minutes but must maintain consistency and precision.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • Education & Training:

    2-year vocational training in a relevant field.



  • Experience:

    Up to 1 year of experience in the related field is typical; 2 years of calibration experience is mandatory.



  • Technical Skills:


  • Ability to operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CNC parameters and machine setup.
  • Proficient in using dedicated software for administrative or customer service tasks.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience required.
