This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors.

Job Family Description

Procedures personnel develop and document procedures and electronic rounds (eRounds) for program and facility operations using organizational processes and software. They ensure procedures include flow down of requirements from Department of Energy Orders, federal regulations, and consensus codes and standards to comply with contractual requirements.

Discipline Description

Procedure personnel are responsible for the development of site-wide and company policies, procedures, and electronic rounds (eRounds) related to the operation and management of programs and facilities. They develop, analyze, and revise existing administrative processes and management controls including standard operating practices, procedures, eRounds, management systems, and documentation. They develop and/or coordinate improved policies, methods, procedures, eRounds, instructions, and forms to achieve greater operational efficiency, increase safety, and to ensure compliance with regulations. They work with subject matter experts to develop new procedures and incorporate changes to existing procedures.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Supervise functional or administrative areas, including project support personnel training, workload planning, and distribution.
* Coordinate office services, housekeeping, property management, and special project assignments.
* Review staff work to ensure adherence to Procedural Document Structure and act in a supervisory capacity.
* Manage subcontracted personnel efforts, including budgeting, man hour accounting, and work oversight.
* Perform advanced administrative functions and establish goals to meet assigned objectives.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to exempt, nonexempt, and less senior employees.
* Develop, implement, and conduct training for personnel and management impacted by assigned functions.
* Assist with the preparation, forecasting, and reporting of organization performance, budgets, and resource requirements.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
* Ability to able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required for assigned work area

* Experience in procedure development, procedure management, operations, maintenance, laboratory, technical writing and editing, work planning, configuration management, or training preferred.
* Advanced knowledge and understanding of process fundamentals and plant systems and a complete knowledge of computer software required to generate procedures, correspondence, and database changes.
* Advanced knowledge of administrative documents pertaining to procedure development and a comprehensive knowledge of procedure writing fundamentals.
* Advanced knowledge of established safety practices (OSHA, EPA, state regulations, radiation control, waste acceptance, and quality control).
* Procedures Professional Association (PPA) Procedure Writer Certification is preferred.
* RAD Worker I or RAD Worker II qualification may be required.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
