Job Duties and Responsibilities Directly responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program at all Latitude Corp. locations. Liaison between regulatory agencies and organization. Apply for needed environmental permits. Stop unsafe work practices. Point of contact for external EHS related audits. Requisition routine safety supplies as required.
- Design comprehensive EHS program to include training employees in relevant laws, rules and regulations specific for each position that ensures Latitude Corp meets its goals.
- Handle regulatory questions and analyze activities at all company locations to ensure regulatory compliance
- Proactively work with regulatory agencies to learn about upcoming changes and prepare the organization to meet those changes
- Serve as the liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, as well as the point of contact for any investigations and the lead to implement corrective actions when violations have occurred.
- Develop strategies to prevent violations from occurring.
- Ensure DNR compliance reporting.
- Label chemicals when received.
- Apply for environmental permits associated with our waste water and other environmental areas.
- Develop and implement health and safety plans, data capture and ongoing analysis
- Set-up and implement hazardous waste, waste water, and toxin management program
- Interface with OSHA, as necessary
- Develop a safety and environmental audit program to identify risks and remedy weaknesses
- Ensure compliance to standards, processes and permits.
- Prepare reports and adhere to regulatory environmental reporting schedules.
- Champion EHS as a culture across the company.
- Optimize EHS Operations; measure and monitor existing policies and processes to prioritize opportunities and drive results utilizing lean principles.
- Execute sustainable process to maintain compliance with government agencies and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the management of safety equipment, requisition supplies, and coordinate administrative activities as required.
- Participate in implementation of a 6S program.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of Workplace Safety Programs, industry environmental and OSHA Regulations, .
- Technical expertise in Occupational and Environmental Laws and Regulations.
- Ability to effectively analyze and interpret facility activities regarding occupational and environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Regulatory landscape of the metal solutions industry;

- Hazardous Waste Inventories and Management;
- Energy Control or Lockout/Tagout (LOTO);
- Illness and Injury Prevention Plans (IIPP);
- Incident Investigation and Reporting;
- Machine Guarding;
- Training on new regulations;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills;
- Ability to lead and manage projects from start to completion.
- Ability to design training program to train employees in relevant laws, rules and regulations specific for each position in the organization.
- Experience in corrective action and disciplined problem-solving methodology. 8D preferred.
- Experience using MRP system. Epicor preferred.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
Education and Experience
- B.S. (or higher) in Environmental Health and Safety, or related field from an accredited school
- 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, which includes 3 or more years of experience with Environmental, Health, Safety and Ergonomic programs
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation and CPR/First Aid certified preferred.
- Waste Water Operator C License preferred
