Acara Solutions is looking for a Payroll Specialist to work with our partner located in St. Petersburg, FL who specializes in Aviation services.
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: $32-$34.50/hr DOE
Here is what you will do:
  • Payroll Processing: Execute the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, data entry, calculation, and distribution of paychecks.
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings, wage and hour laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salaries, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll information and documentation.
  • System Maintenance: Work with HR and IT departments to maintain and improve payroll systems and software. Ensure data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software, ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
