DCS Engineer
Cognizant Technology Solutions As a DCS Engineer, the life science industry is responsible for handling the implementation and maintenance of DCS Engineering within a life science manufacturing or research environment. They would lead all aspects of projects related to DeltaV, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing technical expertise and support.
Location: Remote within US.
Roles and Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Experience with DeltaV: Proven experience in crafting, implementing, and maintaining DeltaV systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the life science industry (pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology).
- Automation Knowledge: Strong understanding of automation principles, including DCS, PLCs, and other automation technologies.
- Validation and Compliance: Knowledge of relevant validation and compliance standards (e.g., cGMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and prioritization.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical issues.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Compliance and Validation: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., cGMP, GAMP 5) through accurate validation and documentation.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the DeltaV system, addressing issues and ensuring efficient performance.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with multi-functional teams (e.g., operations, IT, quality) to integrate DeltaV into the overall manufacturing or research process.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the DeltaV system and related processes.
- Training: Train operators and engineers on the DeltaV system.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 18th, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
