  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time Patient Service Representative position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires and per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth employees are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

The Program for Children with Medical Complexity is designed to help meet the unique needs of these children, offering a variety of services and support.

Our team is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our small, fiercely dedicated group for the position of Patient Service Specialist. The Patient Service Specialist will help to ensure smooth patient interactions by participating in the daily administrative tasks of the practice. These tasks may include answering and appropriately routing phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, patient check in/check out, insurance verification and authorization, reminder calls, processing incoming and outgoing referrals, and any other tasks assigned by clinical team or manager.

Summary:

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) - MMCP MHMG role is very often the first face and voice of the practice. The PSR must be professional, friendly, and courteous. For success in this role, the individual must demonstrate organizational abilities, effective communication, time management, and proficiency with computer software and applications. In addition, attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and adaptability are essential for managing the PSR tasks efficiently.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Experience in a medical office preferred, experience with electronic medical records preferred
